BEGINNER COURSES
The PADI Open Water Diver course is the perfect entry point into the world of scuba diving. Designed for those eager to begin this exciting activity, it offers comprehensive training to become a certified diver.
The course starts with online theoretical training covering diving fundamentals, equipment, safety, and underwater physics. Although the theory is completed online, an in-person review session reinforces the knowledge acquired.
Next, you’ll move on to pool training, where you’ll learn a range of skills to become a safe and environmentally conscious diver.
After mastering the skills in the pool, you’ll complete four open water dives in the Natural Park of Montgrí, Medes Islands, and Baix Ter, guided by a certified instructor. These dives are essential to put your knowledge into practice and build confidence.
As a bonus, you’ll enjoy an additional dive in the Medes Islands Marine Reserve, one of the most beautiful underwater ecosystems on the Costa Brava.
Once you complete the course, you’ll receive your PADI Open Water Diver certification, allowing you to dive up to 18 meters deep worldwide.

*Before taking the diving course, you must fill out a medical questionnaire to confirm there are no health contraindications. You’ll find this Medical Statement attached to ensure you’re fit for the activity. If unsure, consult your doctor or ask us for more information.
**The minimum certification required to dive in the Medes Islands Nature Reserve is Open Water Diver or equivalent, with a guide.
During the course, you will need:

*** To protect marine life, we avoid sunscreens that can be harmful to certain species.
Try to use protective clothing and accessories instead of sunscreen, or use eco-friendly certified sunscreen.
